The Warriors Cup

The Warriors Cup is the premium competition series of Dynamic Archery. While individual DASTs measure performance at a single distance, the Warriors Cup challenges archers to demonstrate versatility, consistency, and endurance across the full Dynamic Archery distance pathway.

While the series runs annually and year round, a single Warriors Cup event is completed in one day, and consists of 9-round DAST trials performed from the standard Forward, Side, and Back shooting positions at each of the five official distances:

18 metres
27 metres
36 metres
45 metres

As such, a complete Warriors Cup Event consists of 45 scoring rounds across the five official DAST distances. During each round, the number of arrows shot is limited only by the archer's ability to draw, shoot, and score within the 20-second time limit. For some athletes, a full Warriors Cup may involve more than 500 arrows over the course of the event.

Performing in the Warriors Cup is therefore not only a test of speed, accuracy, rhythm, and composure under time pressure, but also a significant challenge of endurance, stamina, and sustained concentration.

The results from all five DASTs are combined using the standard DAMAI Composite Score calculation. This produces a single Warriors Cup Result that reflects the archer's overall performance across the full Dynamic Archery distance pathway while giving additional weight to success at the longer distances.

DAMAI Composite Score = (1 × 9 m Result + 2 × 18 m Result + 2 × 27 m Result + 2 × 36 m Result + 2 × 45 m Result) ÷ 9

The Warriors Cup is intended to identify the most complete Dynamic Archers—those who can maintain speed, accuracy, rhythm, awareness, and composure regardless of distance or challenge.

Warriors Cup Rankings

Registered Warriors Cup events may be conducted worldwide by approved organizers and submitted to DAMAI for inclusion in the annual Warriors Cup Rankings.

Archers may compete in as many Warriors Cup events as they wish throughout the year. However, only their highest Warriors Cup Result achieved during the calendar year is used to determine their position in the annual rankings.

The annual Warriors Cup Champion is the archer who achieves the highest Warriors Cup Result during the competition year.

Relationship to DAST Rankings

Every Warriors Cup event consists of five official DASTs, one from each of the DAST distances. As a result, Warriors Cup performances contribute to both the Global DAST Rankings and the Warriors Cup Rankings.

A single Warriors Cup event may therefore:

Generate five official DAST results.
Update an archer's Personal Best at one or more distances.
Update an archer's Composite Score.
Produce a Warriors Cup Result.
Improve an archer's position in the annual Warriors Cup Rankings.

In this way, the Warriors Cup represents the highest competitive expression of the Dynamic Archery Speed Trials while remaining fully integrated within the broader DAMAI training, grading, and ranking framework.

For the Dynamic Archer, the DAST is the individual trial. The Warriors Cup is the test of the complete path.
