About
Discover a New Training and Grading Framework for Traditional Archery Welcome to Dynamic Archery Martial Arts International (DAMAI)! Inspired by the martial traditions of horseback archery, DAMAI brings the development of accuracy, speed, rhythm, movement, and composure into a structured training system that can be practised entirely on the ground. This free introductory course invites traditional archers around the world to discover DAMAI, experience its training methods, and take their first steps toward participating in our growing international community. Through five introductory video lessons, you'll discover: The DAMAI Philosophy: Our origins, inspiration, and approach to cultivating presence under pressure. Dynamic Archery Speed Trials (DAST): How to complete your first Speed Trial and measure your performance. The Global DAST Ranking: How to submit your results, establish personal bests, and follow your progress alongside archers worldwide. The DAMAI Grading System: How your DAST performances relate to a structured pathway of development and achievement. Precision Trials and Rhythm Training: An introduction to the complementary methods that support accuracy, consistency, and the development of shooting rhythm. An Invitation to Be Part of DAMAI's Beginnings DAMAI is preparing for its official international inauguration in Nova Scotia, Canada, in 2027. Before that milestone, we're inviting traditional archers everywhere to explore the system, put it into practice, and contribute their experiences and feedback as we continue refining it. There's no course fee, no membership requirement, and no obligation to continue. Whether you're an experienced traditional archer, a horseback archer, or someone beginning their journey with the bow, you're welcome to discover what DAMAI has to offer. Your first challenge is simple: complete your first DAST and enter your result into the Global Ranking. Join us in exploring what's possible.
